2024 Crete workshop on innovation & entrepreneurship
Together with Colleen Cunningham and Carlos Serrano, we organized the Crete workshop on innovation and entrepreneurship in July 2024. The workshop was generously sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation, HEC Paris, and the University of Utah.
We enjoyed three keynote speeches by Ashish Arora (Duke), Olenka Kacperczyk (LBS) and Myriam Mariani (Bocconi). Other participants included Aldona Kapacinskaite (Bocconi), Alfonso Gambardella (Bocconi), Andrea Contigiani (OSU), Annamaria Conti (IE), Christos Kolympiris (Warwick), Daniel Fehder (USC), Daniel Kim (Wharton), Danilo Messinese (IE), David Hsu (Wharton), Hong Luo (HBS), Lia Sheer (Tel-Aviv U), Liinus Hietaniemi (IESE), Nel Dutt (Bocconi), Tobias Kretschmer (LMU), Tom Astebro (HEC Paris), and Vilma Chila (UVA).

Crete workshop on innovation & creativity, 2019
Together with Simone Ferriani and David Stark, we organized the Crete workshop on innovation and creativity in July 2019. Our goal was to foster multidisciplinary conversations through convening scholars who work at the crossroads of economics, sociology and management and who are united by a common interest in innovation and creativity related questions. The workshop was generously sponsored by ESADE Business School, the University of Bologna, the Italian Ministry for Education, Universities, and Research-PRIN, and the European Research Council through the BLINDSPOT project.
In this first edition, we enjoyed three keynote speeches by Pierre Azoulay (MIT), Alfonso Gambardella (Bocconi) and David Stark (Columbia & Warwick).
